Dream Dark by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

This is a story of Link and his best friend Ethan Wade on a quest through a mysterious network of underground passageways. Their dangerous journey heads south, eventually returning home to Gatlin, South Carolina, but the danger has just begun. Wounded during a climactic battle, Link discovers that tending to his injuries won’t be as simple as visiting a doctor and that healing his arm should be the least of his worries. A bite by a Supernatural did more than break his skin – it changed him, inside and out, turning Link into someone more and more like the dark creature who injured him.

Murder on the Disoriented Express by Emily Lloyd Jones

Alan Fiacre is a survivor. No matter the cost. Until he met Ciere and her crew of superpowered thieves, Alan’s life had been singularly focused on safeguarding the vaccine that changed the world. As a reluctant heir to his father’s legacy, it was his duty to ensure the formula never fell into the wrong hands. So it came as something of a shock to learn the right hands might belong to criminals. Now Alan and Ciere are conscripted into service with the Gyr Syndicate, notorious mobsters set on taking down all of the other crime families in the United States. Their latest mission: a train heist meant to derail a covert arms deal. It will put Alan–and the formula–in more danger than he’s ever faced before. But if he’s learned nothing else from Ciere, it’s that there’s more to life than survival.

The Mortal Heart by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl

Everyone in Gatlin has a story. Before Lila Jane Evers met and married Mitchell Wate, she was an honors student at Duke University. Studying late into the night in the rare books library, she becomes captivated by a single line of text on an old piece of parchment: “In the Light there is Dark, and in the Dark there is Light.” What can it mean? Then one night, Lila Jane meets a mysterious young man who may have the answer. His name is Macon Ravenwood, and for every secret he reveals, he is hiding another. With Macon’s help, Lila Jane uncovers the wonders of the Caster world–the Light and the Dark. But a romance between the Incubus who is fighting his own dark side and this fiercely independent Mortal is doomed from the start. The closer Lila Jane and Macon become, the more her life is in danger.

Happy Again by Jennifer E Smith

Ellie O’Neill and Graham Larkin fell hard for each other when a misspelled email address unexpectedly brought them together. Now, over a year has passed since they said goodbye with the promise to stay in touch, and their daily emails have dwindled to nothing. Ellie is a freshman in college and has told herself to move on, and Graham has kept himself busy starring in more movies, as well as a few tabloid columns. But fate brought these two together once before–and it isn’t done with them yet. In this sequel novella to This is What Happy Looks Like, Jennifer E. Smith revisits two beloved characters to tell the story of one magical night in Manhattan. When Ellie and Graham come face to face once more, can they get past the months of silence and the hurt feelings to find their happily-ever-after again?

Forged by Jennifer Rush

Before Anna and Sam, there was Dani and Sam. There’s one rule that all Branch operatives must live by: No attachments. When Dani O’Brien entered the Branch, she planned to trade her freedom so that her family could have a better life. But joining up with the mysterious organization is more than she bargained for. Branch head Connor watches over her closely–too closely. The training is brutal, the experiments are secret, and the missions promise to be anything but ordinary. The only thing getting Dani through each day is the hope that she’ll run into Sam–a young man, about her age, who wears the world on his shoulders. Find out how it all began in this short-story prequel to Jennifer Rush’s thrilling and suspenseful Altered series.
